With the continued government shutdown, we understand many of you have questions about how this affects your TotilPay services this month. As of today (11/03/2025), TotilPay is still processing and paying out to our merchants as long as transactions go through. If anything changes, we will let you know. Our processing partners are indicating they will continue to process and honor benefits that were already issued by state agencies prior to November.
Additionally, it is confirmed that SNAP benefits have not been issued for November. However, participants who still have benefit balances accrued prior to November can continue to spend those benefits at participating retailers, farmers markets, and farm stands.
We received some frequently asked questions regarding SNAP and WIC transactions through TotilPay. Here are our answers:
- How is the team preparing in case SNAP and WIC payments are interrupted?
- We’re actively monitoring federal updates and working closely with our processing partners to respond quickly if SNAP and/or WIC payments are affected.

- What about eFMNP transactions through the myMarketLink app?
- The last day to use Farmers Market Nutrition Programs (FMNP) funds ended October 30th of this year so all electronic FMNP transactions are no longer possible.

- If my farmers market gave out SNAP tokens, can they still be spent? Can my vendors still get reimbursed?
- If you have distributed SNAP tokens to your customers as a result of SNAP transactions that already occurred in the past, your market has already been reimbursed for those transactions. That means that you should already have the funding in your bank account available to reimburse your vendors for any SNAP tokens spent with them. Your customers may have been saving SNAP tokens from past transactions for later spending. If your customers still have remaining spending balances on their SNAP cards, you should be able to process transactions and provide tokens to those customers while they still have SNAP benefits remaining on their accounts.

As we mentioned in previous communications, we encourage you to contact your Congressional representatives if the disruption may negatively impact your business. You can find your representatives and their contact information here.
This situation remains outside of our control until government operations resume and we thank you for your patience and understanding during this uncertain time. MarketLink and TotilPay are committed to transparency and bridging our farmers and markets with those receiving federal nutrition benefits.
